Mother and Barbara's Alaskan Cruise

Look at those legs and tell me why this woman would ever wear slacks.


This is the stateroom.
Their beds were turned down for them each night by a steward who also liked to fold hand towels into origami shapes.
That's a swan on the bed.


I think this is a bar. I can't be sure, but it looks like one, doesn't it?

Mother is still wearing her rain coat.


This is the Egyptian Room, and Mother has changed her raincoat for a satin suit.
Looks better.


Generally Mother doesn't like stairs, but I think she liked these.


I have to tell you what Mother said about the slot machines.
"I don't like throwing my money away, but I do like to see that thing go around."
I don't think they were big winners on this cruise. At least they didn't tell me if they were.


This is the Jungle Room again. Mother is sitting in a porthole.
