Class Two – through page 40 in your textbook

 

  1. Create a new presentation with the title slide that reads: Business Meeting, by “your name”. Use the slides on  page 24.

 

  1. You don’t have to “Click Here” to enter text or to move to a new text box.

Ctrl-Enter is the Windows standard for inserting a new page. In PowerPoint it will move you from one textbox to another, and to a new slide, in the default format.

 

You will watch the instructor create a slide presentation without touching the mouse.

 

  1. Ctrl-A = Select All  - What gets selected when you use this shortcut in PowerPoint?

 

  1. To change the formatting of existing text, you must first select the text. List the ways to select text. Word __________ Paragraph ___________Textbox_______

 

  1. Change the font face and font size of your title slide. Use Ctrl-B to make your text bold.

 

  1. Apply a different design to the slide show. Run your show. (F5)

 

  1. Apply different alignment to the text.
    1. Left align = Ctrl-L
    2. Right align = Ctrl-R
    3. Center = Ctrl-E

 

  1. Insert clipart into your slide:
    1. Insert > Picture > Clipart, choose the picture. Size and place the picture.
    2. Insert > Picture > From file. You must locate the image file.
    3. From the Internet: If you use Microsoft Explorer, just select the image, Copy with Ctrl-C, then go to PowerPoint and paste it in. (Edit > Paste, or Ctrl-V.)

 

  1. Use the Undo key – Ctrl-Z, and the Redo key, Ctrl-Y.

 

  1. Use Slide Sorter View to rearrange, Copy, Paste, and Delete slides.
